We sat down with PNUT to go over some of the nuttiest music he's put out this year, with releases on Railbreakers and Dead Cell audio, it's no wonder why this up and comer is already breaking necks. We dive a little deeper in this week's Lockdown Radio Interview.
What got you into dubstep?
I started listening to dubstep back in like 2013, 2014. First person I mainly saw was Skrillex. That was just a main influence for me to, I don't know, I just love the scene, went to a few music festivals, loved the music and then just decided one day, "Hey, I'm going to download a DAW [Digital Audio Workstation] and start doing it myself"
What do you produce on?
I use FL [Studio] 20

Is there anything you'd like to see the scene change? / Is there anything you'd like to see more of at show?
Just mostly the Dj playing out their own music. I feel like anything unreleased, by the artist that no one has heard before. Everyone just get's hyped and everyone just wants to know what it is. That's the best feeling out there honestly.
What would you be doing right now if it wasn't for music?
I don't know man, I'm still chugging along with school trying to get a degree, just in case the whole music thing doesn't work out, but you know, trying my best.
What are you going to school for?
I'm getting my bachelor's degree in medical management.
So a while back, you and DJC Dubz released your tune "RUN" on Railbreakers. Can you tell us what it was like or what the main inspiration behind the song was?
Oh, man, DJC Dubz, man, that guy's crazy. He sent me some wild stems and we just went from there. That was the first track that I worked on at 150 BPM. I loved it., like, working on like a hardstyle dubstep tune like that, it was crazy! We had a ton of fun making that one.

Do you have any artist's that influenced your sound?
Let's see, recently more like Ayonikz and the no fufu gang, like trying to get that riddim flow like they got is, that's on point right now. Everyone wants that.
Are you able to share with us any annoucements coming soon?
Yeah! I got some stuff dropping on thanksgiving with KABR actually. Me and him have been sitting on a tune for a minute. It's time we finally put that one out. Let's see, I also got another one with Pottymouth. We haven't finished that one completely yet, I don't know what we're going to do for a release, but that's in the works, and just the other day I finished another song with Db. I think we're about to put that one out for Christmas or something. We're going to think about it.

Has quarantine affacted your ability to produce music at all?
Actually, it really helped me, cause like, I'm not going to lie, I slack off a lot, but having to stay home and stay on my grind, you know, it forced me to stay on my computer and actually finish old projects and stuff.
Have you learned any new skills while in quarentine?
Oh no, I'm more of a relax first and playing video games, working on music, going to school, well going to online schooling right now and going to work, really that's about it.
Any favorite video Games?
I play Apex Legends, hell yeah!
If you could eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Hmm. That's an interesting question. Um, It'd probably be steak. Something hearty, ready to eat.
